Diablo Clinical Research has completed over 450 clinical
studies (phase II-IV) in a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Our team of researchers, led by principal investigator, Richard
L. Weinstein, MD, has conducted trials with over 10,500 patients,
and is dedicated to providing top quality care and clean reliable
data.
Phase I
To further enhance our service to the community and our sponsors, our dedicated Phase I unit launched 2004.
Our in-patient facility, specializes in the newest research in diabetes. Other areas of study include metabolic syndrome, lipids, obesity and hypertension. Examples of our most recent studies include islet cell regeneration and preservation, device studies, and new anti-diabetic treatments focusing on type 2 diabetic complications: glucose control, lipid reduction, water retention, and weight gain.

Physician Alliance
We have also partnered with specialists in our community to
expand our treatment areas. We have created a Physician Alliance
in which local physicians will work with our site on studies
in their area of expertise. This alliance consists of a cardiologist,
neurologist, obstetrician/gynecologist, psychiatrist, pulmonologist/sleep
specialist and a rheumatologist. These doctors are involved
as principal investigators, sub-investigators, or consultants
on studies as appropriate. They are committed to Diablo Clinical
Research and the clinical research conducted at our site.
